We do not charge schools for any of our travel related expenses (hotels, petrol, vehicle maintenance). If appropriate for your school, you may select to give us some support with this by including our diva souvenir shop on the programme. With this, students are allowed the option to buy a decorative clay diva from India for £2 cash on the day as a memento of their special day of learning, and you would need to let the students know about this option in advance. The souvenir shop adds another element of interest for the students. We understand that it is suitable for some schools and not for others. With full day workshops, provided we don’t have a long journey to travel the evening after our visit to your school, we are often able to provide a free one-hour twilight training session on teaching Hinduism when you are able to invite teachers from your own school and at least one of your network schools. For logistical reasons, we need tables that are not required for the lunch service. Standard sized classroom tables are fine.

If there is a school car park, from which street is it accessed?

Please describe the easiest access route to the presentation room, considering that there is quite a lot of equipment to bring in. How long is the route? Are there steps or stairs on the route, which would limit the use of our trolley? Is there a caretaker who could bring an additional trolley? Where should we unload from?
Please acknowledge the following: We generally send only one presenter, and therefore, due to time constraints, we need some adult assistance with unloading our equipment into the presentation room at our agreed arrival time. We also need assistance with setting up displays before the workshop and packing equipment and taking it out to the car afterwards. Capable students can be very helpful with the setting up and packing, so we can use the help of one school staff member and/or up to four students. If providing assistance with the setting up and packing is difficult for the school, as an alternative we can send an additional member from our team to provide the necessary assistance at an additional cost. Please feel free to discuss this with us if needed.
